THANK YOU SPONSORS, DONORS & BAND + GALA NEWS CLIPS
We could not have held the Garden State Inaugural Gala without the help of the sponsoring companies, associations and labor unions. We have posted the list under "NJ NEWS" on our home page. Special accolades to Chubb's DC office for donating office space for our team of gala planners and volunteers for the month of January.
We also wanted to thank the contributors to our silent auction to benefit the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. These included United Airlines, Tropicana Casino and Resort, Revel Entertainment and Casino, Atlantic Club Casino, Sheraton Atlantic Hotel, Washington Court Hotel,Lowe's, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, BMW, Trenton Thunder, Parties that Pop, PrimoHoagies, Bil Canfield,
Every penny from the silent auction, as well as special request songs for the band, additional chip purchases in the casino, 10 per cent of the formal portrait purchases, $10 for each Men's Wearhouse tuxedo rental and 10 per cent of all individual gala ticket sales will be donated to the fund. We are in the process of collecting the final silent auction and other receipts.
Special thanks to Margo and Paul Hallisay (Rep. Frank Thompson, Rep. Ed Patten and Airline Pilots Association) for their $2000 individual donation to the fund.
We also want to express our appreciation to the Bank of America and its staffers who helped us process these payments. And to the silent auction bidders who offered up their hard-earned cash to benefit our brothers and sisters in New Jersey impacted by Super Storm Sandy

Finally, and very importantly, thank you to the B-Street Band. What an electrifying performance it was! The Springsteen songs and other selections were the heart and soul of our gala, not to mention our identity as proud New Jerseyans! Here is our thank you letter to Willie Forte, band leader.
Dear Willie, Our NJ State Society President Donise Cameron and the NJSS Board of Directors want to thank you and all the band members for one of the most spectacular performances ever, of any band, in the Nationís Capital!
We heard rave reviews throughout the night, and never did that old ballroom rock like it did on Sunday night with so much great music, energy and emotion. And thanks to Glenn and everyone for incorporating the tribute to Superstorm Sandy first responders and utility workers into the performance, and to all for being so willing to accept those special requests--money that is going directly to the Hurricane Sandy NJ Relief Fund. And, for bringing Nick Clemons on stage as a special treat for guests, as well as our president, who added some original choreography! Did you know that there was a woman and a daughter from Texas who spent 39 hours on a bus just to come to our party to hear the B-Street Band?
Thank you again, and glad to see you are heading to Florida for some warmer weather, but don't get to attracted to that state or the NJ ex-pats down there. The Jersey Shore is gearing up for a big season and you are needed back home!
