NJSS is a non-profit, non-partisan, 501 (c) (4) tax exempt organization founded in 1941 for Washington area individuals and organizations with business, social, or political ties to New Jersey. The Society fosters educational, cultural, charitable and social activities and provides a networking link between New Jerseyians and former New Jerseyians in government and the private sector.
The New Jersey State Society sponsors or co-sponsors 10 to 12 events a year including New Jersey Day at the National Cathedral every four years, and various networking and sporting events. The Society also co-sponsors the New Jersey booth at the National Book Fest and helps to raise funds for the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
